Welcome Spring 2018!

This April is our Sweet 16 Anniversary and we've been busy in OUR NEW BUILDING finishing remodels, once that's all complete we're looking to party! So keep an eye out for our upcoming events!

Until then, we are starting a new feature; Meet the Team. Each month we'll be featuring one of our team members for a more in depth look at who you're working with here at Architechnology. First up our Associate Architect, David Lind.
Dave has been with Architechnology since we opened in April 2002. To help you get to know Dave a bit better we asked him some introductory questions.

  1. What is your full name? David John Lind
  2. What is your favorite drink? The tears of my enemies
  3. What is your favorite food? Cheeseburgers
  4. What is your favorite childhood memory? My memory was wiped at the age of 32 as part of a covert U.S. Government / Alien operation
  5. What is your favorite way to pass time? Trying to remember my childhood
  6. What is your favorite snack? Bacon Cheeseburgers
  7. What is your favorite sport? Ski Ball
  8. What is your biggest regret? Having my memory wiped
  9. Are you a fan of any sports team? Team The U.S. Olympic Curling Team
  10. Are you a dog person or cat person? Cat
  11. What is something you wish you were gifted at doing? Singing
  12. What is the one item you can’t leave home without? A door
  13. What is the best compliment you have ever received? “You have a face made for radio”
  14. What is the first book you remember reading? The Monster at the End of this Book
  15. What is the first movie you remember seeing? The Exorcist

  17. What is your biggest accomplishment? Getting a new chair for my office
  18. What is your favorite color? Orange. Green if Jupiter is in retrograde
  19. What is your favorite fairytale? The Monster at the End of this Book
  20. What is your favorite type of clothing? Kilts
  21. What is your star sign? Gemini. Taurus if Jupiter is in retrograde
  22. Do you have any birthmarks? If so, where? Yeah, its right on my face. Seriously, you never noticed?
  23. Do you hold any convictions that you would be willing to die for? My daughter is the most important thing ever. (Is that a conviction? Feels more like a fact)
  24. What piece of technology can you not live without? My Car
  25. What was the first concert you ever attended? Peter Gabriel
  26. What was your favorite subject in High School? Whatever that one was that I sat behind Casey D’Antonio in. You just triggered a minor childhood recall!!
  27. What is the furthest you’ve ever been from home? Physically, Washington D.C. Spiritually, the roots of Yggdrasil
  28. Who is the first person you call when something exciting happens? I just post to Facebook
  29. Who is the first person you call when something horrible happens? I delete my Facebook account
  30. Who is your favorite musician? Einar Selvik
  31. Who is your favorite actor? I care only for the characters, not the people telling their tales
  32. Who is your favorite actress? Jennifer Lawrence
  33. Describe yourself in a single sentence? David is a brilliantly lackadaisical, self-centered, generous, loving and spiteful person
  34. How many relationships have you been in? I form a relationship on some level with every person I meet. You’ll have to be more specific.
  35. If you could give your younger self any advice what would it be? Don’t have your memory wiped, apparently you’ll only be able to remember High School
  36. What are your hobbies? Collecting pipes
  37. What countries would you like to visit? America, when it was great.

Spring Events!
You can find us at The AASBO Spring Conference April 5-7 in Laughlin, NV. On April 20th we'll be attending and supporting West-MEC's 3rd Annual Bowling Fundraiser. On April 26th we'll be at Paradise Valley Unified School District's Golf Tournament. And, last but not least, May 4th we'll be supporting Phoenix Union High School District's Foundation for Public Education Golf Tournament!

Continuing Education; Senergy Commercial Wall Systems

Thanks to the Team at the Reference Library for hosting weekly Lunch and Learn seminars!

Last week we learned about Commercial Wall Systems and a more in depth look at Building Envelope Barriers.
For those who maybe aren't as familiar with this process we'll go ahead and share some of the terms and content we learned...
Sheathing is an air barrier material.  It is continuous with joins and is air tights.  It shall be durable to move with the walls.  Shall be joined in an airtight and flexible manner to adjacent materials.  i.d. must be part of the barrier.

Water Resistance on the other hand is a fluid applied barrier and must also function as water resisitve barrier.
Water Resistance tests include;
UV light exposure for 210 hours at 135 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit
Accelerated aging with 25 - 6 hour soak and dry cycles.
Hydrostatic Pressuce (AATCC127 standards)
Shall not leak
Air Barrier be be durable
AC212 Accpetance Criteria

Cesar Chavez Culinary Arts Classroom

​Architechnology remodeled Cesar Chavez High School's Culinary Arts and Fine Arts Building. Creating a more professional environment for student experiences. This project was a 'fast track' project and was completed in just over 4 months.

North High School Cafeteria

Completed in the Summer of 2015.  North High School.
For North High School we remodeled the kitchen and dining area.  Architechnology added outdoor eating areas complete with custom designed shade sails and installation.  Bathrooms were also added to dining room.  And a Faculty Dining Room was also completed.  During the remodel Architechnology upgraded lighting and technology in the Cafeteria.   In addition to this remodel, Architechnology painted the entire campus.
